Over the past two weeks or so, there has been a concerted attack by the Cultural Marxists against the Southern people and their traditional culture. The attacks at first were directed at the Confederate battle flag, the most visible and well-known symbol of the South. However, they did not stop there. Monuments, battlefields, parks, cemeteries, street names, everything even remotely connected to the South and her history has been put in the Cultural Marxists’ cross-hairs. And they have pulled the trigger. Even a silly TV show like the “Dukes of Hazzard” could not escape the onslaught.
This is cultural genocide. It’s goal is to destroy the cultural underpinnings of a distinct and historic people. Often, as history has shown, cultural genocide is merely the prelude to physical genocide.
So far, there have been both organized and spontaneous “flag rallies” across the South. And more will come. But will there be a deeper, more effective and permanent response from “the South?” Southern heritage and history groups, by their legal and actual nature, are ill-equipped to deal with anything more than a superficial response to a profound and diabolical problem. This is merely a fact. They are what they are, and we cannot expect them to be otherwise.
The problem facing the South at present is not mainly political, though that is surely an element of it. For instance, most of the kowtowing from politicians across Dixie has come from local and state GOP officials. Thus the Republican Party is worse than useless to Southerners; in fact, it is an enemy. Southerners need to stop supporting the GOP.
From the League’s point of view, the South’s fundamental problem is one of identity: who are we? How are we different from “those people,” as Lee called them? Until there is an organized effort to rally Southerners based on their true identity as an historic people, and then take that organization and use it aggressively to push for the protection and advancement of that identity, then all else will be futile.
At base, this is not about flags and other physical manifestations of our culture; it is about the people of the South themselves.
There is no other organization willing to stand for the Southern people outside of The League of the South. Why? Because we are the only organization that will dare identify the Southern people as a true nation in the Biblical sense of the word. We are the only Southern organization that does not cower in the corner when the Cultural Marxists call us “racists,” “bigots,” “anti-Semites,” or “xenophobes.” We stand proudly as Southern nationalists.
And what, you ask, is Southern nationalism? It is a movement, led by The League, to promote the survival, well being, and independence of the Southern people.
And who, pray tell, are the Southern people? We are the white people of the South, of European descent, who are committed to preserving a kith and kin, blood and soil nation on the lands bequeathed us by our ancestors who settled this area from the 17th century onward.
In sum, The League of the South stands for, being necessarily redundant for clarity’s sake, white Southerners. White Southerners have an organization now that offers them a means of pooling their numbers and resources to take a stand for the South. And our end game is one which promises a permanent solution to the sorts of attacks we have seen lately, and that is a free and independent South based on an historic Christian worldview. Southerner, are you ready to join us?
